Pictures not downloading from text android

Sometimes a second level reset or soft reset can resolve this issue as well. If your phone allows you to remove the battery than, with the phone powered on, remove the battery from the unit. Count to 10 just like before, and then reinsert the battery into the phone, and power it back on.

Make sure that the phone is not plugged into a charger when removing the battery or the phone will still have access to a power source and this reset might not work.

Sometimes when Android smartphones have too many messages saved on them they can get a little clogged up and have problems sending and receiving both regular text messages and multimedia messages. If your messages have started to pile up on the device then go through the saved message threads and do some cleaning. Data and Information can add up over time so try and stay on top of your saved messages.

Sometimes Android phones have problems and need to be wiped clean. Android makes it very easy and is very user friendly when backing up your information before doing the restore. I recommend a periodic backup of your phone anyways.

This should fix the phone right up and allow you to download and send picture messages again. Just press the power button until you see the power menu and choose Reboot or Restart. After your phone restarts, check if you can download MMS. If there is no stable Internet connection on your phone, the issue of MMS messages not downloading will occur.

Make sure your mobile data or Wi-Fi on the Android phone is turned on. Then, go to search for something via a browser to check the connectivity. Sometimes, you are unable to download MMS due to the setting of this feature.

To fix the issue, you can try to disable it. This may be because of the limit of the messaging app. To fix MMS messages not downloading, you can delete those old messages to free up storage space. Just have a try.

Did you find a solution? What provider do you have? Having the same issue. I just sent support the issue, as mentioned by Comet. I have done a full shut down, cleared the cache to the phone and the message app, factory reset the phone and had their service team flash the phone. Samsung has not given me any more troubleshooting assistance other than they want me to send them my phone without a spare or temp phone.

The support provided by Samsung has been pretty horrible. I have used Samsung for years and this may be my last one.

Post Reply. In that case, you have to create or modify the APN settings. The first thing you have to check is your mobile network connection. The MMS function requires an active cellular data connection. Without the data connection, you can't attach the picture to text message Android. To check if the cellular data is enabled or not, you need to go to the settings option. Then go to "Wireless and Network Settings" and tap the "Mobile Networks" and enable it by tapping, if the data is already on, you don't need to tap.

Now you can take an attempt to send MMS. There is another factor about MMS. MMS functions do not run well without the provider's network. Try to back in the provider's network and attempt again if you are unable to send MMS.

People often face this problem and think wrong. Sometimes you are connected to the cellular data but you are unable to send MMS. A weak network can be the reason that the problem appeared. In this case, first, check out the network bars. If there are 5 bars the network is strong. Generally, this strong and weak network varies from the area. Suppose in the city area, the maximum time the network is strong.

Again in the village area, you may not get the proper network. Sometimes you get a strong network in your bedroom but you don't get a good network in the dining room. If you see weak network bars try to get a place where the network is strong. One of the settings you need to configure is the MMS setting. Let's see the steps to enable the MMS setting -. We are showing the steps to create or modify APN -.
